Staff were observed practicing improper hand hygiene. One staff member handled a mop and then proceeded directly to the kitchen, touching food without washing hands. Education on proper handwashing practices was provided on-site by the PHI.
Utensils were observed in the handwashing sink. The operator was instructed that the sink is to be used exclusively for handwashing. The utensils were removed during the inspection.
Debris accumulation was observed on the floor beneath the racks in the walk-in cooler. The operator was advised to ensure thorough cleaning and maintain the area in a sanitary condition.
