5th floor Servery:, Oatmeal was observed stored in a stainless steel food container and covered with cling wrap. Open cracker packets were observed not properly sealed. Store open food items in appropriate containers like jars or similar suitable containers to protect food from contamination and maintain hygiene.

3rd Floor Servery:, Utensils storage tray was observed with debris and dust on the bottom. Staff member put the tray and utensils away for washing.

Observed creamers on cart at room temperature. Reviewed storage of creamers at safe temperatures. Corrected during inspection. , , Right fridge on 6th floor verified at 11 C. Fridge returned to 4.0 C during inspection. Continue to ensure that fridge maintains a temperature of 4.0 C at all times.

*Cupboards in the servery areas was used to store resident personal items. Request labelling of cupboards to reflect separate designated storage area for residents’ items. Area relabelled during inspection.
*Measuring cups were found in ice storage containers in the freezers. Another measuring cup found in a container of oatmeal. Discussed proper scoop storage. Ensure scoop handle is not contacting bulk food item or store scoop in clean container or place scoop into dishwasher after use. Measuring cups were removed. Manager indicated he will review with all staff.
