Pest control monitoring conducted monthly., , Some fruit flies were observed during inspection. Facility has been trying to reduce the number of flies and has been improving. , , Some suggestions to help further reduce the flies:, -relocate the large compost bin to outside the kitchen (ie. custodial room), -close up compost bags and replace it frequently throughout the day. , -clean garbage and compost bins on a regular basis. The dining area bins must also be cleaned throughout the day as well., -wipe up spills immediately, -clean nozzles/pumps of sugary liquids regularly, -any wet towels are to be bagged up and laundered , -use fly strips in areas away from food/food contact surfaces, -clean drains on a frequent basis including mechanical dishwasher drains, -any damaged structural areas that are allowing water to pool must be repaired
