*Only cold water was available at the hand sink closest to the dishwasher. The hot water was turned off. It was observed that the hot water faucet handle could not be completely turned to allow the water to flow. The handle hit the faucet. Repair and ensure plumbing is in good working condition and both hot and cold water is available at the hand sink.
*There was ice buildup in the walk in cooler and walk in freezer. Investigate and ensure the cooler and freezer are in good working condition. , *There was sticky residue buildup on the juice machine nozzles. Clean and sanitize juice machine nozzles. Ensure it is done daily., *There was dust accumulation on the fans located in the walk in cooler. Please clean and add to routine cleaning schedule.
*Renovation conducted without notification of this office. The site removed and rebuilt a wall in the dishwashing area to assist in cockroach treatment. Reviewed with management the requirement under the Alberta Food Regulation to notify this office when a permitted facility undergoes construction/renovation. , For future projects, please ensure this office is notified in advance so that food safety plans can be reviewed and appropriate measures can be implemented to protect the health and safety of residents throughout the renovation process.

*The only designated hand washing sink in the food preparation area had been converted into a utility sink. , During discussion with management, it was emphasized that this sink is the sole handwashing sink in the food preparation area and must remain available exclusively for handwashing. Alternative solutions were reviewed, including: installing a separate utility sink or using a trolley to transport water from the dishwashing or prep sink to the steam tables. Managers were instructed to discontinue using the handwashing sink as a utility sink. Corrected on site, managers agreed.
