A new chemical dishwasher was installed. Upon testing, it was found that the unit was not dispensing sanitizer as required., , Inspection revealed that the chlorine sanitizer was discolored and contained debris at the bottom of the container. The chlorine container was replaced; however, the dishwasher still failed to dispense sanitizer., , Further investigation showed that the chemical line inserted into the sanitizer container was labeled as detergent. The lines were corrected, and the dishwasher was retested. A chlorine residual was confirmed in the rinse cycle as required.
