Mouse droppings were found in three different areas of the kitchen. , 1) In the dry storage area, the corner of the floor under the shelves., 2) Inside an open shelf containing kitchen equipment. , 3) The corner of the floor across from the northeast kitchen entrance. , , Please ensure that: , 1) areas contaminated by mouse droppings are cleaned and disinfected; , 2) kitchen equipment and utensils (e.g., forks, spoons, and tongs) are protected from contamination (e.g., stored in fully enclosed containers); , 3) working surfaces are cleaned and sanitized prior to operation; and, 4) the kitchen is routinely checked for pests. , , The health inspector spoke with the pest control operators present on-site, and they have taken measures to manage the pest activities. Bait stations and traps were placed throughout the school, including the kitchen.
