Treatment was completed on Monday. Numerous dead and dying cockroaches were found. , Several stages of roaches were noted in these ones found including a nymph, a full grown with egg sack, and what appeared to be a to be a couple roaches that died while mating.
Larger drawer prep cooler next to hand sink was measured at 12C. Operator lowered the temperature of the unit at the time of inspection., All other cold holding temperatures measured 4C and lower., All hot holding temperatures measured 68C.
Evidence of cockroach activity was found. Glue traps for monitoring have been set out in the restaurant and bar. a few with recent active activity were found., Older glue boards also noted in several locations., An active pest control has been instigated including use of several types of pesticides and monitoring., Operator supplied pest control records for last 2 months indicating on going pest control activities.
Cutting boards on the prep coolers require refinishing. Operator was shown an easy method to remove softened surface on cutting boards,, Many small repairs are needed throughout the building including, but not limited to:, Missing trim along the walls/floor, small cracks and crevices in ceiling, walls etc., large spaces behind equipment, shelves, supplies, sinks and dishwashers, etc. that are difficult to properly clean., Several leaks were discovered in the "pump room' on the ground floor. This can negatively contribute to insect and rodent control measures by providing a humid area for them to live
