An opened pack of rodenticide labeled “Rat and Mouse Killer” was observed in the back of house. The staff member was instructed to discard it immediately. Only traps should be used inside the establishment, and operators should rely on certified pest control services.
Frozen meat and chicken were observed thawing in standing water at room temperature. The staff member was instructed to immediately move the products to the cooler. Proper thawing procedures were reviewed, including thawing under refrigeration at 4 °C or lower or under fully submerged cold running water.
The hand sink located in the meat cooler was obstructed by large cartons of meat. These were relocated by staff. Hand sinks must be easily accessible at all times.
