Not in ComplianceEgg/chicken/rice bowls were observed being offered for sale without temperature control. The operator indicated that some bowls were prepared in a commercial kitchen in Calgary at least one day prior; however, the rice was prepared and the bowls assembled in a hotel room. Food sold at a special event must be prepared in an approved commercial kitchen and maintained under proper temperature control. The bowls were removed from sale during the inspection, and food safety requirements were reviewed with the operator.

Egg/chicken/rice bowls were in a cooler with no cooling mechanism (i.e. ice, ice packs) and measured ~30℃. Additional bowls were on display on the table with no temperature control. High-risk foods must be maintained out of the temperature danger zone by keeping them at 4°C or below or 60°C or above., , Bowls were removed during the inspection.
No temporary handwashing station was available at the food booth.
